TRL Partners with Destination Wollongong
The 2025 and 2026 NSW & VIC State Championships will be heading to Wollongong. TRL Australia is thrilled to be partnering with Destination Wollongong to bring this fantastic Event to such a wonderful City.
Wollongong is an idyllic location with beautiful beaches, a vibrant cafe culture and a tremendous nightlife. It will provide the perfect location for high level TRL.
The City of Wollongong Lord Mayor Tania Brown expressed her excitement over the new partnership between Destination Wollongong and Touch Rugby League, saying, “Hosting the TRL State Championships for the next two years is a fantastic win for our region. We’re delighted to welcome athletes, their families and supporters to our beautiful city.”
CEO of TRL Australia, Tom Longworth also had this to say:
“Wollongong is arguably one of Australia’s most marketable locations. Easily accessible from Sydney with some of the best beaches in the Country and an unforgettable seascape, it also just happens to have some of the best facilities to also conduct games of TRL. We are thrilled to be entering into this partnership with Destination Wollongong.”
The NSW & VIC State Championships will see the best teams from across NSW and Victoria compete across both Men’s and Mixed Divisions. The Event is expected to attract in excess of 700 participants and spectators, and will take place from May 9-11 at Thomas Dalton Park.
