The 2025 and 2026 Australian Championships will be heading to the Sunshine Coast. TRL Australia is extremely excited to partner with the Sunshine Coast Council to bring this flagship Event to the City, for both 2025 and 2026. The main venue will be the Maroochydore Swans Junior Rugby League Club.

The Sunshine Coast is a beautiful part of Australia and is both an incredible sporting and holiday destination. It is also plays home to some of Australia’s largest TRL social competitions at Maroochydore and Kawana.

Sunshine Coast Economy Portfolio Councillor Terry Landsberg has invited the 25 TRL regions from across Australia to register their best players for the championships and explore the Sunshine Coast Biosphere.

“As it’s the first time the national championships are being held on the Sunshine Coast, I know our local players will welcome these visiting teams and together make some sunshine moments on and off the field,” Cr Landsberg said.

CEO of TRL Australia, Tom Longworth, is equally as excited:

“The Sunshine Coast is an incredible destination to showcase our great game and provides players, officials and spectators the perfect place to also relax and unwind. We look forward to what the next two years will bring for one of TRL’s most glamorous Events.”
