The 2026 World Cup & State of Origin

In partnership with Experience Gold Coast, TRL Australia will be bringing the 2026 State of Origin and World Cup to the Gold Coast.

Event Recap

The 2026 World Cup & State of Origin events saw 75 teams competing for the ultimate prize.

The 2026 World Cup saw the inclusion of new nations Colombia and Vanuatu, as well as enormous growth throughout many nations which led to a fantastic event. There were many different cultures on show which created an amazing atmosphere and allowed teams to show off their skills and compete at a high level.

All of the 2026 State of Origin divisions were closely contested with very few points separating each State. Every game was played with high intensity as there was some elite level talent on display.

Across the weekend there were 13 different team division winners and 9 individual prize recipients. These are outlined Further below.

All divisions will have 7 rounds + Finals (some sides will have a BYE depending on the make-up of the division).

Game-slots will run for 30 minutes (including 2 x 13 minute halves).

Unique rules: Kick-tries will be worth 2 points. 6 on the field for Mixed (3 men, 3 women).

Price per person (not including uniforms): $50

On-field uniforms: Singlets/Shorts/Tights – $41/garment
