Elite TRL Tournaments
TRL Australia organises four elite tournaments every year.
1. Queensland State Championships;
2. New South Wales and Victoria State Championships;
3. Australian Championships; and,
4. The TRL World Cup.
Included in the Queensland State Championships is the Annual City v Country tournament that carves a pathway for representing New South Wales or Queensland in the highly anticipated State of Origin Series. There are eligibility requirements for each tournament and you can read more about these rules below.

Clubs that can be represented
All of the following regions participate in the QLD State Championships and Australian Championships each year, all entering several teams across Men’s, Women’s, Mixed, Mixed 30s and Mens 30s.
NORTH BRISBANE
At QLD State Championships, there are sub regions within North Brisbane.
The sub regions that can be represented are:
- Bardon Brumbies
- Kedron Colts
At the Australian Championships, North Brisbane is represented as North Brisbane Bucks.
WEST BRISBANE
At QLD State Championships, there are sub regions within West Brisbane.
The sub regions that can be represented are:
- Richlands Rattlesnakes
- Graceville Giants
At the Australian Championships, West Brisbane is represented as West Brisbane Taipans.
GOLD COAST
At QLD State Championships, there are sub regions across the Gold Coast include.
The sub regions that can be represented are:
- Carrara Chargers
At the Australian Championships, the Gold Coast is represented as Gold Coast Gladiators.
EAST BRISBANE
At QLD State Championships, there are sub regions within East Brisbane.
The sub regions that can be represented are:
- Carina Cubs
- Mt Gravatt Magpies
At the Australian Championships, East Brisbane is represented as East Brisbane Tigers.
IPSWICH
At QLD State Championships, there are sub regions within Ipswich.
The sub regions that can be represented are:
- Ipswich Hornets
At the Australian Championships, Ipswich is represented as Ipswich Jets.
